Armenian judoka Arsen Galstyan of Russia (previous world ranking #5) just beat heavily favored Rishod Sobirov of Uzbekistan in the Gold Medal match. Although he is not representing Armenia, he is the first Armenian medal winner. Bravo Arsen!

One is filled with mixed emotions when they see yet another gifted and talented athlete born in Armenia who represents a foreign country and wins Gold.

Mixed emotions is a great way of putting it, although it seems we are headed in the right direction and providing better facilities, training, and support to keep our home grown athletes at home.
