Bulgaria Wrestling Coach Nazaryan Fasts
The Associated Press is reporting that Bulgarian National Wrestling head coach Armen Nazaryan has started a fast to protest the International Olympic Committee's controversial decision last month to cut wrestling from the 2020 Olympics in Istanbul, Madrid or Tokyo.
The Gyumri-born Armenian represented Bulgaria and won gold at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney and bronze at the 2004 Athens Olympics, both in Greco-Roman Wrestling. Here is an article announcing Nazaryan's strike:
